HIMSS Exhibition Planning on In-Person Return in 2021

 

While most trade shows are turning to a virtual platform for the time being as they delay rescheduling their in-person events, HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition has a rescheduled date set. Initially scheduled for early March 2021, HIMMSS21 is prepared to take to the show floor in Las Vegas once again come August 9-13 of 2021.

What is HIMSS?HIMSS, a mission-driven non-profit headquartered in Chicago, stands for Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. As a global thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem with information and technology, HIMSS 2021 will bring world-class education, innovative products, and solutions, as well as networking opportunities. Attendees will be immersed in these interactive experiences, all based around solving health information and technology challenges.

The knowledge and ideas provided by industry leaders and keynote speakers is invaluable, especially in a live, in-person setting. With executive networking events, clinician roundtables, entrepreneur and investor meetups and more, the topics covered and the human interaction that many have been missing will be a refreshing way for the community to engage in important topics as the industry evolves during unprecedented times.

How will they be preparing?As healthcare and technology professionals in this industry are well familiar with the challenges of preparing for the future while navigating current circumstances, HIMSS21 exhibitors, sponsors and attendees can expect health and safety to remain a top priority. The trade show, set to take place in Las Vegas at the Venetian-Sands Expo Center, will be met with the facilities ‘Venetian Clean Meetings.’

Venetian Clean CommitmentThe Venetian resort is making a commitment to the health and safety of its guests. The Venetian Clean commitment to enhance safety and minimize risks for guests has implemented many guidelines and procedures to emphasize the prevention of virus transmission. With over 800 separate initiatives being put into place in response to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire scope of the building has extremely high standards for safety.

As HIMSS tends to draw senior executives, providers, IT professionals and market suppliers from the health information and technology industry, the event hosts are doing their best to help this community continue to create in-person experiences and relationships. Attendees will be offered a unique depth of expertise and experiences while having peace of mind that the show and the venue are taking extensive measures to keep them safe. Exhibitors will be able to effectively share expertise to advise global leaders, stakeholders, and influencers on best practices as this industry shifts and demands for innovative technology and solutions.

Leading up to the event…Registration opens in January 2021 for HIMSS21. As HIMSS20 was canceled due to COVID-19, all paid registrants will be automatically registered for the 2021 show. As the event draws closer, HIMSS will be closely monitoring coronavirus outbreaks and cases. They’ll be following CDC and WHO guidelines to ensure that they’re staying prepared to address the safety and health of all attendees. Event-goers can also expect to see details of the on-site preparedness plan in the coming months.

The world is more than anxious to begin trading again, and that starts with trade shows taking initiative and preparing for a safe return as soon they are given the “all clear”.
